NBC-4 Announces Gust of Wind

BREAKING NEWS! ...BREAKING NEWS! ...BREAKING NEWS!

CENTRAL OHIO IS EXPERIENCING A SEVERE WEATHER EMERGENCY!

NBC-4's Storm Team 4 is on the scene for you, covering rogue gusts of wind that are traveling at speeds up to 12mph.

"Man, this is incredible," chief meterologist Jim Ganahl comments. "This is the most severe weather we've had since April 2nd's Snowflake Alert."

Programming director Bigover Reaction said that there was a newsroom debate on whether to just provide a news crawl or to suit up the Storm Team 4 TM crew and cover the wind live on location.

"People like weather emergencies. We sell safety and folks are in the market for safety. It's also good tv, good drama. I'm just glad I live in Central Ohio and not Los Angeles. A programming director in LA told me he once broke into a presidential news conference to announce a cloud formation!"
