The Poor Man's Prozac

Eight of ten mental health officials agree: beer does a mind good!

Psychiatrists have found that beer safely triggers access to painful childhood memories such as the time your mother didn't let you get an ice cream when the ice cream man drove by. Beer allows access to negative emotions while in a mildly euphoric state.

Beer is also salutary for mild aches and pains, irritability, muscle tension, constipation, fatigue and jaundice.

Even frugal people drink beer. Benjamin Franklin, who was notoriously cheap and became famous for his saying "a penny saved is a penny earned", said that beer was proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy.

Plato, a wise man though given to understatement said "it was a wise man who invented beer." Duh!

Let's face it - if beer came in a bottle - which thankfully it does - everyone would drink it!
