A three-judge panel sentenced 23 year old Jeff Wahabi to death for distributing a paper that humiliated Islam. Jeff, a university journalism student in Afghanistan, downloaded a paper from the Internet, and discussed it with fellow students.
"I haven't read the paper, but according to others who've discussed it, the paper is insulting and disgusting," said Imam Sheik Enmeup, "even a mere glance at the paper should be considered an unforgivable insult to the Islamic Religion."
According to Jeff Wahabi, the paper discussed brave new ideas such as tolerance, free speech and freedom of the press. -CE
