NPR Correspondent Orgasms During News

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Mona Lynne Commode, economic correspondent for National Public Radio, shocked listeners yesterday when she experienced an on-air orgasm while delivering news of a 400-point drop in the Dow Jones Industrials.

A few have called for her resignation, but most listeners aren't bothered since she was only sharing the emotion of her audience, which knows that bad news is good news for presidential candidate/messiah Barack Obama.

"I really shouldn't have gotten so excited," said Commode in an interview with the UK's Guardian newspaper. "But I lost control."

"I did okay while broadcasting the latest sub-par jobs report, even though I was feeling excited by it. But when I read the Dow numbers I couldn't contain it. I apologize to listeners who were offended, although I'd like to ask them if they were offended by the Meg Ryan scene in When Harry Met Sally. I think there may be some hypocrisy here."

Her reaction kind of reminds me of the thrill that ran down Chris Mathews' leg.

Yeah Matthews will never live that down. Or up. :-)
